Healthy Families Happy Kids is passionate about and dedicated to supporting individuals and families. 

 

Alexandra 'Atty' Draper (previously Lennox), M.A. is a psychotherapist, meditation teacher, coach and facilitator who is passionate about the health, wellbeing and empowerment of young people. She created Healthy Families Happy Kids, a consulting group that provides emotional support to young adults, kids, teens and families. Atty runs empowerment workshops for girls and young women in the UK. 

Alexandra trained in integral counselling psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies, a cutting edge institution that offers an integrated outlook to psychological practice, bringing together the diverse approaches of clinical, somatic and spiritual psychology. She is trained in human development, non-directive play therapy, alcohol and chemical dependency counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy, child therapy among others. Alexandra has completed courses in family systems and adolescence at the Tavistock clinic in London, a renowned leader in pioneering theories and treatment about emotional and psychological wellbeing. She has trained in basic and advanced EMDR. Alexandra is always studying to discover “what works.” She is currently training in Internal Family Systems a trauma informed treatment for Anxiety, Depression, PTSD and substance abuse. She completed a two year long Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Training with world renowned clinical psychologists and meditation teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield. Alexandra’s area of special interest is adolescence and early adulthood. She utilises her diverse training in counselling and psychology to provide a safe, supportive space both within her private practice and in the programmes and workshops she facilitates. Atty is a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists and upholds the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists code of ethics.
